1. The renaissance is what ended the middle ages, and was a huge turning point for Europe as people started getting a new idea, putting more emphasis on the individual than on religion. Also the reformation was a big turning point because it questioned the authority of the church, and fought against wrong practices, such as the selling of indulgences.

2. European feudalism and Japanese feudalism are very similar in that the both had their nobles, such as knights in europe, and samurai in japan, and they both had their own code, such as the bushido. Peasants worked under knights/samurai, and the latter worked under the king/shogun.
